This home in France is an example of a minimalistic, monochromatic interior. Its signature feature is the black wood-finished ceiling.

Black dominates throughout, and it's this that gives the house its unique, attention-grabbing character. The dark colour ideally complements the warm light of the decorative lamps, drawing out the nuances of the materials used and adding a touch of class. The colour scheme is repeated on all three floors of the building.

The ground floor is where everyday life takes place, housing a living room joined with a kitchen, a guest room/office with its own bathroom, and a WC accessible from the hall.

We've located the most important areas on the garden side of the building, which is almost entirely glazed, giving residents a beautiful view and access to the terrace which extends from the recreation area.

The entrance and hall areas are separated from the rest of the home by a wall with a built-in, traditional, panoramic fireplace, glazed on three sides, providing a view from the living room of the hall. One important element in the design is the open-work stairwell. It leads to the first floor, where the master bedroom and full bathroom, and the child's room with bathroom are located.

A bright and bold colour appears in the latter two rooms, which belong to a young fan of Legos.

The stairwell also leads down to the basement, which houses a wine room with a modest bar, barrels, and a substantial collection of wine. Moving on, we enter the cinema room, furnished with a very large and comfortable sofa, ideal for sharing time with family on movie night.
